High-quality affordable housing can transform lives and neighborhoods and revitalize entire cities and towns. At CHFA, we work to finance well-planned, well-designed and sustainable affordable housing in Connecticut that will positively impact the lives of residents and the areas where they live. We offer financing for new construction and the rehabilitation of existing buildings. Our goal is to preserve the long-term affordability of housing in Connecticut.
If you are new to the affordable housing finance process, contact CHFA. We'll be happy to talk with you about your project.
The Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2018 permanently establishes income averaging as a third minimum set-aside election for new Housing Credit developments. CHFA is working to understand and incorporate these changes into our processes and documents. More information will be forthcoming.
